FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear answers, distinct conversations.

Answers to common questions about professional introductions and reaching out to Lloyd Law.

This page provides general information, not legal advice.

PROFESSIONAL INTRODUCTIONS / 01–03

Before an introduction.

These questions concern exploratory professional conversations.

What is the purpose of an introductory conversation?

It is a professional introduction to discuss your work, perspective and expectations, then decide whether a separate conversation would be useful. It is not legal advice or a legal consultation.

Does an introductory conversation guarantee a referral or future work?

No. An introduction does not guarantee a referral, compensation, future work or any formal relationship. Each party can decide independently whether a further discussion is appropriate, and any proposed arrangement would need a separate conversation and agreement.

Is this a legal consultation or attorney-client relationship?

No. This is an exploratory professional discussion, not a legal consultation. It does not create an attorney-client relationship. Any legal engagement would be addressed separately.

GENERAL INQUIRIES / 04–07

Getting started.

These general inquiries are separate from the professional introduction journey.

When should I contact a real estate attorney?

You may wish to speak with an attorney before signing a New Jersey real estate agreement, or when a property question comes up. This page does not set a deadline for a specific deal.

Does reaching out make Lloyd Law my attorney?

No. Contacting the office does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.

Can a matter be discussed remotely?

Some conversations and document review can be handled remotely. A meeting can be by video when that fits the matter, and in person when the matter calls for it. This page does not promise that every matter can be completed remotely.

What should an initial message include?

Your name, a way to reach you, and a short description of the New Jersey property question. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive documents in a first website message. This page is general information, not legal advice.
